Scabies
Its an extremely itchy condition caused a small mite(Sarcoptes scabiei) which makes burrows in the skin. Its prevalent all over the world. Some people are more predisposed to this conditions like decreased immunity, living in close proximity, over crowding etc.
Its is manly spread by skin to skin contact, and this can be a brief contact by merely shaking a hand as well. Similarly contact with beddings or furnishings is another factor as well.
Itching is the main symptom being worse at night. Mites favour to stay in warm parts of the body like web spaces of the fingers and toes, groins, private areas.
It can be easily treated with cream and tablets with more emphasis on treatment of the all household and immediate contacts on the same day.
